Now that the summer is coming to a close, it’s a good time to visit the Portsmouth historic dockyard with an opportunity to see The Victory, The Mary Rose and other attractions. Details of the historic dockyard can be found here
The dockyard is a short walk from Portsmouth Harbour station. On the journey out you will need to change at Southampton Central station. On the journey back the Portsmouth to Southampton trains sometimes reform themselves into the Southampton to Bournemouth trains so you may be able to stay on the same train all the way. Please ask the guard on the Portsmouth to Southampton train.

There are opportunities to buy food and drink at the dockyard. However just south of Portsmouth Harbour station is Gunwharf Quays with lots of bars and restaurants.
